You have the power to grow your customer base with the Laundry Pro app.
From the main menu and on the home screen you can navigate to the "My Referrals" section of the Laundry Pro app. Within "My Referrals" you can share Poplin with new potential customers—and drive them directly to yourself.

What is a customer's experience when redeeming referrals?
Referral Benefits
Laundry Pros get rewarded for referring customers to Poplin in two ways:
- Exclusive access to the customer's first order, if the customer is within your service area.
- A points boost that will help you level up faster so you can get offered more orders and take more orders at one time. This can also helps higher-ranked Pros stay on top of the leaderboards.
Customers who join via a Laundry Pro referral code get two incentives to place their first order:
- Credits towards their first order
- If the referring Laundry Pro is in the customers' service area, the customer will have the chance to be serviced by that Pro. It's better to have a friendly face for your first order!
You can find specific details about Laundry Pro and customers benefits in the "How it Works" page of "My Referrals" in your app.
A few things to note.
- A referred customer can choose to not include the referring Laundry Pro as their Preferred Pro. However, that Pro would still get points for referring a new customer to Poplin after their first order is delivered.
- An existing customer who has placed an order in the past can use a Laundry Pro link or QR code in order to add them to their Preferred Laundry Pro list—but the customer won't get any Poplin credits and the referring Laundry Pro won't receive the bonus points.
- If completing an order for a referred customer, Laundry Pros will continue to get the 15 "Requested Order" bonus points on top of the referral points bonus.
Using your QR code to refer new customers
Present your QR code in-person to potential customers. The new customer should use their smartphone's camera app to scan the code in your Laundry Pro app. This will show them a link to click on which will bring them to Poplin.co to create their account.
Ideas from Laundry Pros on how to they use their QR code:
- "At laundromats when I'm doing Poplin orders."
- "When I'm dropping off an order and I run into a customer's neighbor."
- "When I'm taking a Lyft."
- "When I'm wearing a Poplin shirt and someone asks me what it is."
Keep an eye out in real life for opportunities to show your code.
Using your Referral Link to refer new customers
With the "Share referral link" button you can share your link via any digital channel you'd like.
Share your referral link online via:
- Instagram with your network of friends, family and followers
- Facebook groups about parenting, self-help or life-hacks
- Nextdoor.com offering your services to your local area
- Tiktok to showcase the way you care for your customers
Remember, you can share anywhere—even to people who are outside of your work radius. If you don't get the customer, you still get the points!
What is a customer's experience when redeeming referrals?
New Customers
New customers get 1) you as a preferred Laundry Pro and 2) $20 towards their first order. They will see a welcome message in the customer app when they sign up and then this message when they land in their Customer account:
New customers will see the referring Laundry Pro in their list of "Preferred Laundry Pros."
Existing Customers
Existing customers see this welcome message when they land in their Customer account:

When a referred customer places an order there are three notifications that the referring Laundry Pro could receive:
When the customer is in the service area of the Laundry Pro and is marked as "Preferred:"

________ (new customer first name) used your referral link to sign up. Great work! Their new order is available to you exclusively for 30 minutes. You'll also earn 30 points when their order is delivered (by you or another Laundry Pro)!
When the customer is not in the service area of the Laundry Pro:
You referred a new customer!
________ (new customer first name) used your referral link to sign up. Great work! They are out of your service area but when their order is delivered you will earn 30 points for referring them to Poplin.
When the Laundry Pro is not requested:
You referred a new customer!
________ (new customer first name) used your referral link to sign up. Great work! They didn't request you but when their order is delivered you will earn 30 points for referring them to Poplin.
