Some customers need their laundry done as quickly as possible. Luckily, we have a service speed that accommodates that!
Express Service
Customers have the option of selecting between Standard and Express service in the app. Because Express orders have tighter pickup and delivery deadlines, with the same level of quality, Laundry Pros earn double on Express orders compared to Standard orders.
Laundry Pro Eligibility
Today, you must be at a Bronze rank to select Express orders. This is to protect new Laundry Pros from added stress of a fast turnaround time as you learn the basics of doing laundry the "Poplin" way. In the beginning of your Laundry Pro experience we want you to focus on quality, not speed or volume.
Reserving Express orders for Bronze and above also ensures that customers get perfect service—even with added speed.
Pickup and Delivery Timelines
Their pickup and delivery times change based on when they place their order. That means that based on when they order, Laundry Pros have different pickup and delivery deadlines.
For Express orders placed between 12am-10am:
The pickup deadline is by 2pm that day and the delivery deadline is 8pm that night.
For example, an order placed at 9am on Monday has a pickup deadline of 2pm Monday and a delivery deadline of 8pm Monday.
For Express orders placed between 10am-3pm
The pickup deadline is by 8pm that day and the delivery deadline is 10am the following morning.
For example, an order placed at 12pm on Monday has a pickup deadline of 8pm Monday and a delivery deadline of 10am Tuesday morning.
For Express orders placed between 3pm-12am:
The pickup deadline is 2pm the following day and your delivery deeadline 8pm that night. For example, an order placed at 5pm on Wednesday has a pickup deadline of 2pm Thursday and a delivery deadline of 8pm Friday.
Express Service Guidelines
Because Express orders require a quick turnaround, there are three essential guidelines that we set up front with customers:
Up to 60 pounds
We warn customers that if they place an Express order over 60 pounds their service speed might by impacted. Poplin does not restrict them from doing so as we have found Laundry Pros consistently are happy to earn double from these orders—even over 60 pounds.
This is shown to customers when they place an order we believe might be over 60 pounds:
- 6 small bags
- 4 medium bags
- 3 large bags
If you get an Express order of over 60 pounds, please read this article first. If you still are unclear about next steps, contact Poplin Concierge, and they will walk you through different options. Express orders weighing over 60 pounds can have their delivery deadline can be extended by 1 day, however, the cost and earnings will also change to Standard Speed pricing.
Express Order Minimums
Express orders include a higher minimum charge, which may vary by location.
While customers can submit smaller loads, the higher minimum reflects the faster turnaround time required for Express service—ensuring Laundry Pros are fairly compensated for completing orders more quickly without sacrificing quality.
Customers see this pricing clearly when selecting Express service and again before confirming their order.
No Hang-Dry
Hang-dry is not available with Express service.
Customers are notified of this in the app. If hang-dry is selected, Express will not be available.

Express Orders placed from 12:00 am - 10:00 am:

+10 points: By 2:00 pm
-10 points: After deadline
Delivery
+10 points: By 8:00 pm
-20 points: After deadline*
*If delivered late, more points are deducted on Express orders than on Standards orders because the customer's expectation—and cost—is set for speed. If an LP is late it is a huge trust-breaker.
Express Orders placed from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm:
Pickup
+10 points: By 8:00 pm
-10 points: After deadline
Delivery
+10 points: By 10:00 am next day
-20 points: After deadline*

Express Orders placed from 3:00 pm - 12:00 am:
Pickup
+20 points: Day of order by 8:00 pm*
+10 points: Next day by 2:00 pm
-10 points: After deadline
Delivery
+10 points: Next day by 8:00 pm
-20 points: After deadline
*Extra points are given if the LP picks up by 8:00 pm because it is a better experience for customers to have their laundry picked up the day it is ordered.
